World Press Photo Marks 70 Years with Historic Print Sale Featuring Chang He

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands – Esteemed documentary director and photographer Chang He recently participated in World Press Photo (WPP)'s landmark 70th-anniversary print sale, "70 Prints for 70 Years." The special 10-day initiative, which was hosted by the World Press Photo Foundation at its headquarters in Amsterdam, ran from November 17 to November 26, 2025.

The sale featured 70 iconic images from the WPP archive to celebrate seven decades of powerful visual storytelling and raise vital funds for press freedom.

Chang He's celebrated work, a photograph from his award-winning series Chinese Zoo, was among the limited-edition prints offered. The image, which earned him Second Prize in the Nature category at the 50th World Press Photo Awards in 2007, was captured in Guangzhou in 2006.
